The information is varied, including wages and tonnage per pit.

Papers relating to coal mining are dispersed within the holdings of the University and vary in their nature. There are a number of quite small collections which include incidental material relating to coal mining such as maps, reports, printed papers and ephemera. These collections can be identified by searching the online catalogue.
Papers of the Nottingham and District Trades Union Council include papers about local colliery disasters, and reflect attitudes towards, and involvement in, the national strike action of the miners’ unions 1984-1985. These papers are currently awaiting detailed cataloguing and access to them is restricted.
