Standing buildings
- The Manor House on Middle Street. The main range dates from the late 17th century, and the short north-east wing was built early in the 18th century
- The church of St John the Baptist on Chilwell Road was comprehensively rebuilt in 1842-4 by the architects Scott and Moffatt. The medieval chancel survived the restoration but was enlarged in 1876.
- The Wesleyan Methodist Church on Chilwell Road was opened in 1902
- The Railway Station built in 1847 for the Midland Railway
- The facade of the Anglo-Scotian Mills on Wollaton Road has castellated turrets and lancet windows and was built in 1892
- The Humber Works on Humber Road was a cycle factory built by Thomas Humber in 1885 and formed part of 'the first extensive engineering works in the East Midlands' (the company moved to Coventry in 1907)
- Part of the Boots site lies in Beeston, including the architecturally important D10 'Wets' factory built in 1930-32
