Bassetlaw Museum was awarded a Heritage Lottery Award grant in 2002 to enable the purchase and digitisation of 20,000 negatives taken by professional photographers Edgar Welchman and Son of Grove Street, Retford between 1910 and 1960. The photograph collection is now online and there are 1,233 photographs of Worksop from the Victorian era to the present day:
